PAST PROJECTS THE APPLE Shunt Cabaret Hose was a brilliant keyboardist - a partially sighted busker from Brazil who I met playing in Moorgate underground. He agreed to collaborate for a weekly cabaret that I was co-running at 93 Feet East. We had a rehearsal in a friend’s sitting room in Farringdon that was just high enough for my rope. The piece was improvised - his speciality. To emphasise that we were in it together, I produced an apple tucked into my costume and, hanging from my ankles, we shared it part way through.
